With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Great idea; poor execution...
This cabinet had all the makings of a classic and attractive way to store my DVDs/BDs; good library-style design, high capacity, and solid wood construction. However, it is clear that the construction and QA practices of Leslie Dame are not enough to justify the rather high price of this product.
First of all, this is not walnut; it's a cherry that's heavy on the brown side. It contrasts significantly with my walnut entertainment center. For aesthetics, I had to place it on the other side of the room where there was matching furniture.
Secondly (and this one is a toss-up), although made of solid wood, it is a very light wood (not good) - to the effect that it is only about 30-40 pounds when empty (good). We'll see how this holds up to the moves in a few years (I'm active military).
Thirdly, (and this is what counts), both units I had/have in my house had/have defects. The first cabinet appeared on my doorstep with a 10-inch split in the left door;...

Great craftmanship; Excellent design
I bought this product almost ten years ago and am now considering buying a second one. This is a really solid piece of furniture. There is storage both in the cabinet and inside the doors. The shelves are adjustable and because we use ours only for dvds, there are shelves we do not use. This case is heavy and stands steady upon thick carpet, but of course, if there are small children in the house, it probably should be anchored to a wall stud to prevent the possibility of it tipping over. The case arrived already put together except for the shelves which rest on clips you insert to hold them where you want them. The walnut finish is more of a cherry, not as dark as walnut should be. The design is practical as well as eye catching. Several people have commented positively on the cabinet design. I like to keep our dvds and cds in their original packaging. If you keep yours in the thin crystal cases you buy at the store, this may not be a good purchase for you because you would...
Beautiful, Unique DVD holder
Absolutely love this DVD holder. It is extremely unique, pretty well made and has a great finish. We were holding off on buying a DVD holder until we could find the "right one". As soon as we saw this, we had to have it. The cabinet came within 2 business days, the box was a little banged up, the cabinet didn't have any marks on it. Assembly took about a half hour and everything lined up as it should. It is very sturdy and holds quite a few dvds.
