good looks aren't everything
Knockdown furniture is a common way to receive goods these days. It keeps costs low (your labor) and simplifies shipping. What separates the good from the bad is QA before shipping and how it is packaged. Then the next score is based on instructions/assembly and finally how it looks.
This item had to be returned, replaced, replaced and finally completed. Nothing is worse than being nearly complete and find out damage keeps you from completing the project. Then a new piece is damaged..then another is damaged and they kept using the same size box the original was shipped in leaving lots of cardboard to take to recycling and lots and lots of stiff styrofoam that always seems to find places to hide when broken up. Oh and recycling doesn't take styrofoam.
In the end, its a fine piece of furniture. It's just that SEI is way behind the times regarding the value of customers time, effort and packaging disposal issues.

Classy looking TV stand with easy assembly
So thankful that there was one positive review for this piece as we generally rely heavily on reviews when deciding what to buy.
It looks amazing and we love the fact that there are no open shelves. Assembly was time consuming but not difficult since we followed the very clear and specific directions. The doors aligned perfectly and it is a beautiful piece which looks amazing in our condo.
Don't hesitate to buy this for a unique, functional, media cabinet. We love it.

THIS IS A NICE PIECE OF FURNITURE. EVEN THOUGH IT REQUIRES ASSEMBLY IT IS VERY EASY TO PUT TOGETHER. EVERYONE THINKS IT IS AN EXPENSIVE PIECE AND NO ONE SUSPECTS IT IS A FLAT PACK DYI ITEM.
