Attractive storage bench
I bought this shoe cubby to clean up my entry way and also so that we'd have somewhere to sit while putting on our shoes, which some guests had requested. Assembly seemed a little involved, but my father and uncle put it together in about an hour. It looks great and keeps all the shoes neat - also looks great with the matching overhead cubby/coat rack. Can't fit big winter boots, but that's to be expected since the cubbies are on the small side. But there's a lot of them which is great. Bench seems quite sturdy, even though my father thought it might not be. Looks great!

Wonderful start for an entryway for guests
I had been looking for a bench that could also hold shoes as the start of project to create a space inside the door to allow my guests and myself to unload our effects, coats, and shoes before entering the rest of the house. I found this bench and had been keeping an eye on it for a couple of months before purchasing it on sale.
Having read the reviews and noting the concerns about residue on the shelfes and, in some cases, delays in shipping, I decided that I wasn't concerned with either issues and waited for the package to arrive.
When it did arrive (only a day or two past the expected window of delivery, not bad)I perused the instruction sheets, matched and layed out the parts - making sure everything was there, and gathered the tools I needed to finish assembly (a screwdriver and a hammer).
Everything was pretty straight foward but I would like to note that when it comes time to assemble the interlocking boards that make up the cubbies, pay...
Great looking and useful
I bought this storage bench because I have two young children who can't keep track of their shoes and a husband who just leaves his laying at the doorway. I put it together myself in about half an hour, an hour if you count the time to vacuum the particle dust from the package and wipe down the pieces before putting together. It wasn't difficult but I used a screw gun. The only thing I didn't like about it was the shelving. They seemed to have gummy residue on them that was fine was I gently scraped it off. They're also a little rough at the edges but all in all - I'm very happy with the outcome.
