Flaws in craftsmanship
File cabinet is heavy and a nice piece of furniture. We also appreciated the fast and free shipping of the product. We were disappointed that the holes for 2 L brackets did not line up and had to be redrilled. All 4 metal drawer sliders were bent and had to be straightened out so drawers would roll in and out. One of the wood legs finish was flawed. For $200.00 we spent most of the day trying to make all of the manufacturing mistakes work for us rather than to take apart and shipped back to company.

Seen better but it's not bad
Some of the pros: The drawer fronts and top are made out of wood and the finish is attractive. The price is very reasonable. All the parts were included and everything arrived in good condition.
Con's: the particle board components are very fragile so be careful when you tighten the screws - as they say in the instructions use hand tools or if you do use a drill adjust the the torque setting to very low. The instructions are weak and most of the parts are not labeled. One tip - install the some of the screws for the L bracket before you assemble the back, otherwise they are hard to get in. Some of the screws holes were off a little requiring some new pilot holes to get the parts to fit correctly. One other annoyance is the flaky Styrofoam packing that leaves particles everywhere - put down a drop cloth to ease with the clean up. Also - assemble where you have ample lighting as the dark wood and black screws are hard to see. All-in-all it's not a bad little unit for under $200 but...
Solid and Great looking
The warm wood tones of this two drawer filing cabinet are ideal in my husband's study/office/man cave. The directions were rather difficult to decipher, but after getting the cabinet together, it's great. I would say the tone is not "merlot", it's walnut. Don't be fooled by the image on your screen, it's warmer than that! And NOT dark like espresso. Perfectly delightful.
