reseller good manufacturer sucks
the seller on this site is good, the cabinet itself has a design flaw...the plastic slide bolt on the left door stops you if you want to fill the top shelf with dvds, it wont close, i called prepac and i had to call 5 times to get them to pick up the phone, the rep said she would get an engineer to look at my problem but i never got a call back. the other problem is that for the price the laminate is a cheap paper version that showed up to my door in the box with several scratches on it, thats why they include a brown marker to cover the marks...kind of a cheap way to solve a problem. all of the parts were dusty as if just came off the assembly line without being cleaned im dealing with it but i will never buy prepac item again

Customer Service Complicated and Appalling
Executive Summary
* By buying this product you are dealing with three separate firms (Amazon: website; Visiondecor: seller; and Prepac: manufacturer) that do not have good communication with each other, making returns or remedies tedious, slow, and aggravating.
* Warning about returns: They charge shipment PLUS a 20% restocking fee
* It took me one-and-a-half months to get a completed cabinet.
* The doors sag with weight of DVDs/CDs. However, I was able to rig a fix.
My story
One of the doors was damaged during shipment because the box was punctured. I called the phone number included in the box, and they were more than happy to ship out the new piece (free of charge). The piece that arrived a week-and-a-half later was the wrong one. I called customer service again, told them the situation, and even provided them the part number directly from the instruction manual. A week-and-a-half later I get another wrong part. Not only was it the wrong...
Not exactly what was expected, but it works.
The quality of the product is not as I expected. It is the typical composite wood, with a wood like finish laid on top. I was hoping for a more solid construction, and more quality material. The directions for installation are also lacking.. Don't put the side drawer top pieces on the very top notch, the lock wont fit behind it. Make sure you hammer the floor sliders on the bottom before you even start assembly.
The product works as explained, just wasn't totally impressed overall.
